About the writer
I’m a 24 year old Midwestern transplant, Wisconsin born and raised. Now I live, work and play in Los Angeles, where some of the nations supposedly most successful minds can’t figure out how to tie their own shoes, get their own coffee or cross the street properly. I’m a journalism and mass communication ‘07 graduate and extraordinaire. The world has just failed to realize it yet. For the past two years I have been working as an assistant for a high-powered business owner within the field of architecture. I’m really good at making coffee. I’ve become even better, though, at ordering and delivering triple non-fat grande raspberry mocha cappa bullshit lattes. Recently I landed a gig an editor which is thrilling to me because my dream is to one day be a professional writer.
I enjoy controversy, manicures, small cuddly puppies, baseball players, a good bottle of wine, sleeping in, cheese, kissing slowly, and putting away groceries. I believe that a person’s greatest strengths can also become their greatest points of weakness.
I prefer winter in greater Los Angeles to summer. I am rarely able to find a suitable temperature-I would prefer it to be between 60-75 degrees perpetually. Anything less than 60 is cold, anything more than 75 is damn hot. This becomes a problem as temperatures here frequently reach ridiculous 3 digit status. I blame my intolerance to temperature on my father, who always kept the house at a cool 60 degrees all summer long. Not all of us can afford to run the AC 24/7, DAD-you’ve spoiled me forever!
I’m one of those lucky girls whose boyfriend happens to be both her best friend. I may throw around the term ‘best friend’ a bit loosely but that is because I have been blessed with amazing friends.
While I, too, strive for wealth and power, I’ve always believed that people are the most important thing in life, that good relationships are worth fighting for and when you’ve reached a point of mutual understanding with someone you have to hold onto that because it doesn’t happen every day.
This website chronicles the story of a Midwestern girl just trying to make her way in the big city. I hope you enjoy the ride, because I’m having a lot of fun along the way, and trying not to get arrested. (Just kidding, Mom!)

Sooooo, how are we suppose to get married when you go on and on (and on) about your boyfriend. Huh!? And I got my hopes up when I saw your picture.
Peace.

Oh Matt, I am sorry to lead you on via that blog comment on our dear friend Kathy’s website, but I must say that I’m delighted that you’ve stopped by! I hope you’ll continue to do so, even if I did break your heart over the Internet.

it always blows my mind that the most successful people cannot seem to do the easiest things. I wonder sometimes if only supremely dumb people can become part of the the 1% wealthiest group. I work for one of those people and most times I want to say to him REALLY? really? you can’t do this? REALLY? or do you just want to watch me do it for the tenth time?
